## What Changed

Merchants based in Japan can now accept Google Pay™ on KOMOJU Hosted Page and WooCommerce. KOMOJU processes each Google Pay™ payment as a standard credit card payment, and 3D Secure runs automatically on the Hosted Page.

To be eligible, you must have selected Hosted Page or WooCommerce as your integration method during initial KOMOJU onboarding. Your account must also be fully approved for Visa / Mastercard credit card payments. Other integration methods, such as Shopify, are not supported yet.

If your account is eligible, turn on the Google Pay™ toggle in the "Payment Methods" section of the KOMOJU Dashboard to get onboarded. For the full requirements, see [Google Pay™ Eligibility Criteria](https://docs.komoju.com/en/docs/integration-guides/google-pay/eligibility-criteria).

## Merchant Impact

Google Pay™ payments use the same fee rate as your credit card setup. Customers can pay with Visa or Mastercard.

After onboarding, you need to update your integration before you can accept Google Pay™ payments. On Hosted Page, include the `google_pay` payment method slug when you create a Session. On WooCommerce, update to the latest KOMOJU plugin version and turn off the "Inline Payment Fields" option under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Google Pay.

You must also:

- Follow the Google Pay™ web brand guidelines on your own pages before and after the Hosted Page
- Follow the Google Pay™ and Wallet API Acceptable Use Policy
- Accept the Google Pay™ API Terms of Service

For setup details, see [Using Google Pay™ (Hosted Page)](https://docs.komoju.com/en/docs/integration-guides/google-pay/using-google-pay).
