## What Changed

Previously, a subscription on a Payment Link charged the customer on the day it was created. You can now set a fixed billing date, and every subscriber is billed on the day you choose:

- The 1st of each month
- A specific payday each month
- Every Monday
- A set date each year

You can also enable proration. Customers who join mid-cycle pay only for the days they use, then move onto the regular schedule.

These settings are now available to all merchants in the Payment Link subscription settings or via our Subscription API. Align subscription billing with your business calendar instead of the day each customer signs up. With proration, customers who join mid-cycle pay only for the days they use, then follow the regular schedule.
